Very close is the Kassiopi Castle, which is considered one of the most important architectural remains of the Ionian Sea. Also the northeastern side of the island, is an ideal destination for families who want to spend a luxurious holiday and visit beaches and restaurants with fine tastes. Do not forget to visit Mount Pantokratoras, which is the highest peak of Corfu, as well as the monastery that is on top of it.

WHEN TO VISIT

The best time to visit Northeast Corfu is from May to September because of the weather that is warmer and sunny during those months. You will enjoy the outmost of the view towards the Ionian Sea when you see the sun laying his rays on the crystal clear blue waters, while on the same time you will be surrounded by beautiful evergreen trees!

HOW TO GET THERE

Starting from Corfu Town, Corfu Port or Corfu Airport, use the National Road of Palaiokastritsa and follow the signs towards Dassia. When you reach Dassia, cross the village and follow the road for a few kilometres where you’ll enter the area of Northeast Corfu. If you do not have your own transport vehicle, you can reach the West side of the island using green or blue buses as a more economical solution, or otherwise use a taxi.
