Messonghi is located in the south part of Corfu. It is the ideal starting point for you to embark on an exciting exploration of southern Corfu. Messonghi is a small village with a large beach and also high tourist development due to its rich tourist infrastructure. The beach of Messonghi is fully organized with sun loungers, umbrellas and a large variety of water sports.

Location

Messonghi is located 18 km south from Corfu town and the airport, next to the large tourist resort of Moraitika, by which is separated by the river of Messonghi.

Demographics

Messonghi is suitable for families. The sea is deepening slowly and gradually, for this reason along with the fact that it is protected from strong winds and has calm waters, makes it the ideal Corfu beach for children. The place is also ideal for couples who wish to enjoy their holiday in a rather peaceful environment and make the most out of the easy-going nightlife. Moreover, there are clubs for night life, although for those who want something more lively they will find it in the neighboring Moraitika, which are within walking distance.

Transport

It is fairly easy to reach Messonghi from Corfu town by car, whether from the port or airport. Just follow the main road that leads to Lefkimmi and passes through Benitses and Moraitika, straight after Moraitika is Messonghi.  There are signs everywhere that guide you on how to get there. Messonghi also is connected with Corfu town many times per day by the local bus service.

Things to do

There are many restaurants, bars, shops and clubs for night life where you can go. Moreover, for those who want something more lively they will find it in the neighboring Moraitika, the distance between the two resorts does not exceed 100-200 yards and is easy covered on foot.
