Liapades village in Corfu is situated on the west coast of Corfu in Greece, 5 km from Paleokastritsa and 20 km from Corfu town, at the northern end of an area called “The Ropa Valley” and above the bay of resort’s beach (Gefyra). Liapades is a beautiful traditional Greek village of about 1000 residents, with a great beach , which has not been yet affected by mass tourism and retaining its natural beauty. It is one of the oldest villages of Corfu, with a typical Ionian architecture and it is also known for its excellent local wine.
The whole tourist area is centered on an extensive area around the beach of Liapades just 800 meters from the center of the village. There are restaurants/tavernas, super-markets, cafes, shops and all kinds of services. The beach is about 100 meters long and provides taxi boats, sun beds, umbrellas, motor boats and canoes for rent.

Demographics
Liapades is a nice destination for hikers, as there are many picturesque paths to explore on foot. The whole area around the village is a maze of small roads, tracks, trails and ancient donkey paths.
Also, it is an ideal destination for families and for couples who want to enjoy a romantic holiday.
Transport
You can get to Liapades by car, taxi or by green bus. By car or taxi will take you about 30 minutes to go from the Airport to Liapades.
It is fairly easy to reach Liapades from Corfu town by car, whether from the port or airport. Just follow the main road that leads to Palaiokastritsa. Continue all straight following the signs for Paleokastritsa and Liapades. From the main road and about 5 Klm from Paleokastritsa you turn left to Liapades.
Things to do
You can go to the central square of the village. There are traditional taverns and coffee shops. At this point is located the beautiful church of Agia Anastasia, one of the 6 churches of Liapades built in the 16th century.
Liapades is a nice destination for hikers, as there are many picturesque paths to explore on foot. The whole area around the village is a maze of small roads, tracks, trails and ancient donkey paths.
Moreover, close to Liapades is the main beach of the village surrounded by green hills and spectacular landscape, while there are about 15 hidden small beaches to be explored. Some of them can be reached only by boat while others by foot as well. There are also organized boat trips covering most of these hidden beaches as well as the famous small caves of Paleokastritra.
